What is ProMaxPDF?
ProMaxPDF (promaxpdf.pro) is a free online PDF editor for students and business. Merge, split, compress, convert, edit, sign, and encrypt PDFs in your browser.
Does ProMaxPDF upload my PDF?
No. Tools read the file in this tab. Open DevTools → Network while merging: the PDF is not posted to a server.
Is there a watermark?
Never. Downloads are unstamped. There is no daily cap that unlocks a clean file.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up. GST invoices and POS data stay in this browser until you export them.
Is ProMaxPDF free for students?
Yes. Merge assignments, compress scans for the portal, convert Word to PDF, and OCR notes at no charge.
Can businesses use it for invoices and contracts?
Yes. GST invoice, POS, encrypt, redact, and sign run locally. Do not treat it as a hosted archive — keep your own backups.
How is this different from iLovePDF or Smallpdf?
Those products typically upload the file. ProMaxPDF keeps processing on the device. See the compare page for a side-by-side.
Does it work offline?
After the first visit, the PWA cache can load the app without a network. Camera scan and P2P share still need a secure context (HTTPS).
