Why can’t I highlight the original PDF words?

The page is a picture for editing. Cover the old line with whiteout or a text box, then type the replacement. Drag any corner to match the line.

Will the original font be kept?

New text uses Helvetica. Unusual embedded fonts are not rewritten in place.

Are files uploaded?

No.
